| About this ministry and "Celebrating Your Life" |
| As we go through our lives, various changes and events that deeply effect us, are often marked by ceremonial rites of passage. They are the outward sign of the steps taking us into the next season of life. Whether you are preparing to marry, share the joy of a new child, rededicate yourself to the Lord or your spouse, or look back on a precious life, you want to know that these one time events will be conducted exactly the way you want to experience and remember them. We have all attended ceremonies officiated by people lacking a true passion and calling to this vocation. Several JPs and religious officiants do no more than show up, recite a standard prefabricated ceremony, and walk out the door, check in hand. They leave very few words behind that will be remembered or have any impact on those in attendance. Words spoken in their ceremonies are predictable and over used...hence quickly forgotten. Would you like to have your guests be able to recite the most commonly used ceremonial words along with you? I doubt it. Repeating the same old standards can cause some folks to lose interest and drift off, while you are having a huge moment in your life! Weddings, christenings, renewing vows, memorials, and funerals are all important events. They are life changing. The ceremonies should be interesting, meaningful, and customized for each occasion. I'm sure people would much rather know their guests are sincerely listening and staying focused. If the attendees do that, they can truly celebrate with you. Choosing the person that you need to rely upon to help create and capture your important moment is a very significant decision. The clergy member or officiant is your representative. This person should be able to communicate very effectively on your behalf. He/she should bring life and meaning to the ceremony, and present the unique nature of the person or people being honored. My approach to this ministry is quite simple, yet very effective. I invest time and energy getting to know the family or organization I am working with, to the best of my ability. One of my favorite sayings is "Keep it Real". I learned that from my Lord, Jesus Christ. It is one of the very basic building blocks of my spiritual and personal life, my ministry, my goals, and my way of relating to other people. I have spent some time in the theater, but I am never comfortable acting when it comes to real life events. I live by a creed of truth and love, as a result of my faith in God. I have a true appreciation for the significance of your event. As a sincere and spirit-led minister, I would be honored to conduct your ceremony. My approach focuses on paying tribute to God, thanking Him for the people I work with, and truly celebrating the times of our lives together. My goal is to bless you with a genuine and personal ceremony. Let me assist the Lord in designing and molding a beautiful, memorable day for you. |
